Hi from another new member
Hi everyone, my name is *Kim* and I must say I love my little stars. I love to read and I love to knit, so I guess this will be a good place for me to hang out! I've just finished a book called "How I Paid for College" by Marc Acito. It was hysterical! Next on my list is "The Forsyte Saga". Two of my favorite books from 2004 were "Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell" and "Shadow of the Wind". I'll stop now and look forward to meeting everyone in the "Jonathan Strange" discussion!

Hi everyone, I wanted to introduce myself. I love to read! I just finished Patricia Cornwell's newest book 'Trace', and now I'm reading Henry James' 'The Golden Bowl'. My bookshelf is a little ecclectic. I like mysteries and dramas, and I really like like genre of magical realism (Marquez). Southern writers like Donna Tartt are ... fantastic. I enjoy anything that is well written, otherwise I'll just skim through a story for plot. I have a special place in my heart for British Lit. I heart Joseph Conrad and any Bronte.
I love New Orleans, but will be leaving it soon, and I've been knitting steadily for about a year. Before that I was knitting in fits and starts, and crocheting blankets seemed to be as much of as a challenge as I wanted. I love a new knitting book, and there are so many great ones!!
I think this is a great forum, and I'm excited to read everyone's great book finds!

Another BLTN
Better late than never person. My name is Samantha and I have been knitting again for about a year. I learned as a child, but like most children quickly put it down. I have always been a voracious reader, but that has slowed a bit with knitting. Now I find myself relying on audio books for my fiction fix. (I'm an academic so none of my work books make audible.com LOL). I am looking forward to the Strange book. I bought it several months ago and I figure that this is a good way to get me to read it! I'm looking forward to talking to all of you about it.
