Introductions
Hello everyone! My name is Sara, and I am a knitting/reading/blogging fiend who was pleasantly surprised to find this book club. I maintain my own blog at Downward Facing Life, and I am a college student majoring in Creative and Professional Writing and Sociology in Northern Minnesota. I look forward to good reads and good conversation with you all!

Hi there
let's see if I have figure out how to use this thing.....
my name is Lu and I am from Italy - thought of mentioning that because most of my favorite authors are Italian. but I am very excited about this because it will give me a change to have new favorite authors - in English.
I currently live in California and I am going to get my copy of the book of the month soon. I have read Philip Roth before (Italian tanslation of a couple of his books, and I am going to check out the original titles as soon as I get out of bed) but not this one before.

Hi!
Allow me to introduce myself....
My name is Cara. I'm a reader, a writer and a knitter. They all play a very significant part in my life, hence this web site.
My favorite author is William Maxwell. He died a couple years ago - but before that I wrote him a letter asking him to submit a story to the journal I was working on.
He graciously wrote back to me that since he was an old man, he wouldn't be able to comply, but that he greatly appreciated my letter (it was pretty gushy!) I have his letter slipped into the front of my signed first edition of So Long, See You Tomorrow. I've read it at least five times now - everyone should read it at least once!
Glad you're all here - hope it's a real fun time!
